The LAB Anti-Mall

The LAB Anti-Mall, standing for "Little American Business," was established in 1993 in Costa Mesa, California. Transformed from a former night-vision goggle factory, it was created to counteract the monotony of traditional retail spaces by supporting small businesses and fostering a vibrant community centered around art, music, fashion, and diverse cuisine. Today, The LAB serves as the epicenter of the SoBeCa (South Bristol Entertainment, Culture & Art) Arts District, featuring various art installations, local artist showcases, and unique communal spaces like the "community wall" mosaic project and "The Living Room" seating area.
