Hilbert Museum of California Art

The Hilbert Museum of California Art, located in Orange, California, was established in 2016 through the generosity of art patrons Mark and Janet Hilbert. It houses a significant collection dedicated to California Scene Painting, featuring over 1,000 works primarily from the 1930s to the 1970s. The collection includes pieces by notable artists such as Millard Sheets, Emil Kosa Jr., and Phil Dike, depicting everyday life and landscapes in California. In February 2024, the museum expanded from 7,500 to 22,000 square feet, enhancing its exhibition space to showcase its growing collection.
