Forever Marilyn

"Forever Marilyn" is a 26-foot-tall, 34,300-pound sculpture created by artist Seward Johnson in 2011. The statue depicts Marilyn Monroe in her iconic pose from the 1955 film "The Seven Year Itch," where a gust of air from a subway grate lifts her white dress. Since its debut, the sculpture has been displayed in various locations, including Chicago, Palm Springs, Hamilton (New Jersey), Bendigo (Australia), and Stamford (Connecticut). In 2021, "Forever Marilyn" returned to Palm Springs, where it is now a permanent fixture.

Visitors can admire the towering sculpture, take photographs, and enjoy the surrounding downtown Palm Springs area, which offers a variety of shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions. The statue's location near the Palm Springs Art Museum provides an excellent opportunity to explore local art exhibits.
