LACMA (L.A. County Museum of Art)

LACMA is the biggest art museum in the western U.S. and an easy “LA icon” stop on Museum Row—great for rotating exhibitions plus the famous Urban Light lamp-post installation outside (a top photo spot).

Urban Light is LACMA’s iconic outdoor installation by artist Chris Burden: a grid of restored vintage street lamps that glow at night and has become one of LA’s most famous photo spots (you can walk through it anytime).
