Salvation Mountain

Salvation Mountain is a monumental art installation located in the Colorado Desert of Southern California. Created by Leonard Knight over three decades starting in 1986, the mountain stands approximately 50 feet tall and 150 feet wide. Constructed from adobe, straw, and an estimated 100,000 gallons of donated paint, it is adorned with colorful murals, biblical scriptures, and messages proclaiming "God is Love." Knight's passion project has been recognized as a national treasure and a significant piece of folk art.

Visitors to Salvation Mountain can explore the vibrant artwork, walk through its painted pathways, and experience the site's profound message of love and faith.
