Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine (Pacific Palisades)

Lake Shrine is a peaceful 10-acre meditation garden built around a natural spring-fed lake, created as a welcoming “all faiths” spiritual sanctuary. Highlights include tranquil walking paths, waterfalls/shrines, the Court of Religions (symbols honoring major world religions), and the Mahatma Gandhi World Peace Memorial, where a portion of Gandhi’s ashes is enshrined.

Visiting notes (important)
The grounds are typically open by reservation (they release reservations on Saturdays for the following week).
Arrival windows are commonly set (example: 10:00–11:30am for morning, 1:00–3:00pm for afternoon).
Limited onsite parking.
Service animals allowed; no pets.
