The Broad Museum

The Broad Museum is a contemporary art museum located in downtown Los Angeles. Established by philanthropists Eli and Edythe Broad, it opened to the public in September 2015. The museum is dedicated to showcasing an extensive collection of postwar and contemporary art, featuring works by renowned artists such as Jeff Koons, Cindy Sherman, and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Its innovative design, created by Diller Scofidio + Renfro in collaboration with Gensler, features a distinctive "veil" that filters natural light into the gallery spaces, enhancing the viewing experience while emphasizing accessibility and public engagement.
