Fern Dell Nature Trail

Fern Dell Nature Trail is a historic, lush oasis located within Griffith Park in Los Angeles. Originally developed in the early 1900s—with significant enhancements by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the Depression—the area was designed to showcase exotic ferns and tropical plants fed by a natural spring. Over the years, it became a beloved spot for health-seekers and nature enthusiasts, earning a reputation as a “nature museum” in an urban setting.
