Elysian Park

Elysian Park is one of those “LA surprises” — a huge, hilly green space minutes from Downtown where you can get wide skyline views without doing a hardcore hike. It’s right by Dodger Stadium, and the vibe is part picnic spot, part scenic drive, part quick trails with overlooks.

Angel’s Point viewpoint (inside the park): one of the best “DTLA + Dodger Stadium” overlooks.
Easy walks / short hikes: pick a trail loop or just wander the roads for views.
Picnic + chill: lots of open space for a relaxed LA afternoon.

Daily: Sunrise to sunset

Golden hour → sunset for skyline light + cooler temps.
Avoid arriving right when a Dodgers game is starting if you hate traffic.

Parking is generally free around the park, but it’s scattered by entrances/viewpoints.

Easiest by car, but you can rideshare to an entrance (Academy Rd / Scott Ave) and walk.
