Malibu Pier

This is the classic “Malibu postcard” stop—ocean views, surfers at Surfrider Beach, salty air, and a pier you can stroll for that I’m really in California feeling. It’s chill, scenic, and one of the easiest Malibu experiences to do in a couple hours.

Walk the pier for views + photos, especially near sunset.
Watch longboard surfers at Surfrider Beach right next to the pier.
Eat at Malibu Farm (on the pier).
Optional: fishing on the pier (during open hours).

Paid lot onsite; fees vary by season.

Pier hours: Sunrise to sunset.

Best time to visit
Late afternoon → sunset for the prettiest light and calmer vibe (weekdays are usually less crowded than weekends).
