Union Station’s Old Ticket Hall

Union Station’s Old Ticket Hall is the historic ticketing area within Los Angeles Union Station. Opened in 1939 as part of the grand Los Angeles Union Passenger Terminal, the hall originally featured 30 ticket windows crafted from American black walnut, a beautiful Spanish tile floor, and a soaring vaulted ceiling. Over the decades, as rail travel evolved, the ticket hall has been preserved as a testament to the station’s rich architectural and transportation history. Today, it serves as an elegant event space and a highlight on guided tours that showcase the station’s blend of Art Deco, Spanish Colonial, and Mission Revival design.
