Amir’s Garden (Griffith Park)

A shady, flower-filled little “oasis” tucked deep in Griffith Park—most people drive right past it and never realize it’s there. It was created in the early ’70s and is still maintained by volunteers as a rest stop for hikers/equestrians.

Short hike in, then relax at the picnic tables and wander the garden paths.

Great add-on if you’re already exploring Griffith Park trails.

Follow Griffith Park hours: generally 5:00 AM – 10:30 PM.
Important: Griffith Park sources note trails close at dusk, so plan your hike accordingly.

Most people park near Mineral Wells Picnic Area / along Griffith Park Dr and hike in on the fire road/trails.

One common GPS-friendly “park hub” address used for trail access is: 4730 Crystal Springs Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90027 (Griffith Park / Ranger Station area).

Bring water, parts of Griffith Park can be hot with limited shade on the approach.

Try morning or late afternoon for better light and cooler temps.

Keep it clean, this place stays special because volunteers maintain it.
